PDPAWL:
The PDPAWL is a powder-actuated pin with washer designed for fastening building components to concrete, steel, and CMU.
The PDPAWL consists of a PDPA hardened steel pin pre-assembled with a 1″ washer that provides an additional support surface for increased load resistance. The PDPAWL is designed for use with Simpson Strong-Tie® powder-actuated tool systems, as well as other common tools.
The PDPA is a powder-actuated hardened steel fastener designed to attach building components to concrete, steel, and CMU. The PDPA consists of a fastener with a 0.300″ diameter head and a 0.157″ diameter shank. The PDPA provides maximum productivity on the job site with quick installation.
Key Features:
– The effective minimum shank length must be equal to or greater than the sum of the thickness of the attached material and the minimum embedment depth.
– Code listed according to ICC-ES ESR-2138, Florida FL15730, and LA RR25469
– Designed for use with Simpson Strong-Tie® powder-actuated tool systems, as well as with other common tools
– The PDPA-MG models are mechanically galvanized for additional corrosion protection.
Pins, Anchors, and Clips:
The PHD Pin for Hammer Tools
The PHD is a pin designed for use with Simpson Strong-Tie® PHT-38 and other hammer tools. This hammer fastener is ideal for narrow channels of drywall panels or projects where small quantities of manual attachments are needed. The PHD is available in lengths from 3/4″ to 1 1/4″.
Key Features: Suitable for narrow drywall channels or for low-volume fastening of steel and wood to concrete and masonry. 1/4″ diameter head with a 3/8″ diameter metal washer.
The Seismic Clip
The seismic clip is a powder-actuated assembly designed to attach ceiling wires to concrete. It consists of a PDPA hardened steel pin attached to a 90° clip angle. This ceiling clip is compatible with Simpson Strong-Tie® powder-actuated tool systems, as well as other common tools, and can be installed with an aerial extension pole. Key Features: The effective minimum shank length must be equal to or greater than the sum of the thickness of the attached material and the minimum embedment depth. Finish: Ceiling clip / galvanized; pin — mechanically galvanized.
Titen Turbo Screw Anchor
The Titen Turbo screw anchor features an innovative torque reduction channel to trap drilling dust where it can’t obstruct the thread action, significantly reducing jamming, tearing, and breaking without compromising strength. The patented reverse thread design allows for smooth driving with less torque while still providing superior holding power. The torque reduction channel also leaves more space for dust to help prevent anchors from bottoming out in holes for smaller diameter screws. Titen Turbo screw anchors feature a serrated leading edge to cut through concrete or masonry and a sharp tip for quick and easy installation in wood to concrete and wood to wood applications.
Key Features: Available with a hex head or, for a flush profile, with a flat countersunk 6-lobe head or cutting head. The 6-lobe drive provides positive bit engagement, resulting in easy installations and a long bit life. Superior tensile load performance.
Use a standard ANSI drill bit for installation. Serrated screw tip for an easier start when fastening wood. Designed for installation with an impact driver or cordless drill. Use only in dry indoor environments.
Sure Wall Drywall Anchor
The Sure Wall anchor is a self-drilling drywall anchor that provides greater holding capacity than screws alone. The anchor is designed for manual installation with a sharp tip that allows for easy penetration into drywall. With a screw-like thread, the Sure Wall anchor secures the drywall as it is turned into place, creating a secure fastening solution. It is self-drilling and can be installed in drywall using just a screwdriver. Easy to remove.
